So it's been a busy week this week - Chinese New Year, Shrove Tuesday, Valentine's Day... But I've still had time to fit in some essential geekiness.
This week, I've been reading Peter F Hamilton's The Reality Dysfunction, a space opera/horror the size of a house brick. It's a bit of a slow burn but there's some really interesting, and horrific, ideas in there and i'm intrigued to see where he goes with the trilogy.
I've also been catching up on Gail Simone's Batgirl series - I haven't been able to get to the comic store to pick up my pull list for a while so it's a real treat to sit down with a wedge of these. It just seems to get better and better - I'm so glad DC changed their mind about replacing Simone as the writer on this series because I'm absolutely hooked!
I've also been reading classic Deadpool and geeking out over news that the Deadpool game is on it's way. Have a look at the teaser trailer here and tell me you don't need this in your life!
Finally, I've been watching The Boy play Mass Effect. It's weird, I know, but I enjoy watching people play RPGs almost as much as I enjoy playing them. It's interesting to see how they interact with the characters and the choices they make. Also I may be just a little bit obsessed with the Mass Effect trilogy but that's a story for another day.
So that's been my week of geek - how was yours?
Don't forget to tune in next week for: The New Board Games - never be bored again!
